Sumo's Menu

Size, weight and strength does matter. Skill and speed of attack do take part.
Its From Japan , 1500 years ago . . .

Japanese Boys usually decide at an early age to become sumo rikishi (sumo wrestlers). Leave home and train under the care of "sumo master"

Each Morning they Practice hard, then bathe and makan special stew called "chanko chanko"

chanko = fish stock filled with seafood , meat , vege , pig intestines , and noodle . this stew is eaten together with rice pickles and condiments

on top of this, sumos have many other snacks each day consisting of food which is actually unhealthy, but helps them gain weight. they also drink large amounts of beer and sake. it is not unusual for a sumo champion to weight 186kg or more

So the Sumo Shopping list would look like some thing like the below list

Fish
Oyster
Clams
Scallops
Chicken
Pig intestines
Udon Noddles
Peas
Corn
Mushroom
Carrots
Beans
Rice
Pickles
Biscuits
Cakes
Beer
Sake (japanese rice wine)
